Executive Profile: Lee Carrick of Perot Systems Government Services
Lee Carrick has served as President of Perot Systems Government Services (PSGS) since December 2007. Carrick’s responsibilities include strategic planning, day-to-day operations, and maintaining long-term growth of the government services business unit. The government services group has developed an IT solutions and professional services presence in the Department of Defense, homeland security, civilian federal agencies, including science and technology agencies.
Before his appointment as President of PSGS, Carrick served as head of the National Security division, delivering IT solutions and consulting services to defense, homeland security, and intelligence customers. Prior to joining Perot Systems, Lee served as a VP in Northrop Grumman’s IT Sector, delivering IT services, network engineering, human capital management, enterprise resource planning and business process improvement solutions to federal customers.
Carrick began his career in the U.S. Air Force, where he had a leadership role in weapons system acquisition programs, space operations, intelligence collection, and mission support. He served as acquisition lead for Global Positioning Systems and developed and deployed classified systems. He also participated in initial ground and flight operations for the Space Shuttle as a test engineer at NASA’s Kennedy and Johnson Space Centers.
He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and received his master’s degree in acquisition and contract management from West Coast University in Los Angeles.
