Executive Profile: Steve Vito of UpsonVito

Formerly serving as president of Government Executive, Steve Vito recently partnered with Don Upson to form UpsonVito, a firm that will provide programs for senior executives in the government contracting space. The new company will focus on providing senior contracting executives with programs such as the CES Government Conference and the Government Business Executive Forum.

Vito has over 20 years in the publishing industry, largely dealing with news in and around the federal government and government contracting. Vito initially joined Government Executive in 1999 and has served as president and group publisher. He has also president, GEMG with Atlantic Media Company, since 2005. Prior to serving at Government Executive, Vito was a publisher at IDG.

Vito received his BA in English Literature from Boston College and his MBA in Market Research from Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll Graduate School of Management.
