Executive Profile: Dave Herr of BAE Systems

Dave Herr is president of the support solutions business within BAE Systems’ electronics, intelligence and support operating group. Prior to his current role, he was vice president of commercial avionics for BAE Systems’ platform solutions business. Before that, he served as vice president of operations for the company’s former electronics and integrated solutions operating group and vice president of operations for platform solutions.

Prior to joining BAE Systems, Herr held a series of positions in procurement, program management, production operations, and product support for General Electric Aircraft Engines and Lockheed Martin. He also was a senior buyer for ITT Aerospace Optical and a material control supervisor for the International Harvester Company.

Herr holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Francis University, and a master’s degree in business administration from Northern Kentucky University.
