Executive Profile: Paul Cofoni of CACI
Paul Cofoni is president and chief executive officer of CACI, and his responsibilities include executing CACI’s strategy to align its core competencies, innovative tools and best-value solutions to help the U.S. government in protecting the nation.
Cofoni has overseen the growth of CACI solutions to support critical infrastructure, help clients collect and analyze information vital to the protection of America and U.S. forces, and enable the secure communication of that information to key decision makers. Cofoni also manages CACI’s corporate development and mergers and acquisitions program in direct partnership with CACI’s Executive Chairman Dr. J.P. London.
Most recently, Cofoni served as CACI’s president of U.S. operations, where he was responsible for domestic, federal and state, and local markets. Under his guidance, CACI’s U.S.-based operations provided a wide range of innovative technical and valuable support services to the U.S. government.
Cofoni’s career spans over more than 30 years and includes senior-level executive experience in business development, M&A, strategic planning and extensive federal market operations. His professional experience includes large-scale integrator contracts in the federal market sector; the defense, intelligence and communications markets; and major commercial outsourcing and systems markets.
Before joining CACI, Cofoni was president of the federal sector of Computer Sciences Corporation. Under Cofoni’s leadership, the federal sector revenues exceeded $5 billion in 2005. Prior to CSC, Cofoni enjoyed a 17-year career with General Dynamics, where he served as vice president of IT services for both East and West Coast business units.
Cofoni received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Rhode Island and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School program for senior executives. He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Professional Services Council.
