Executive Profile: Steven Kimmel of Alion

Steven Kimmel is Senior Vice President for Corporate Development for Alion Science and Technology. As such, he develops and oversees strategic plans and implementation. He is responsible for the company’s Federal, State, Local and commercial opportunity tracking, capture plans, bid review and proposal preparation development activities.

Prior to joining Alion, Kimmel was Vice President Corporate Development, Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute (ITTRI). He was responsible for the company’s involvement in the federal marketplace.

Before this, he held various management and executive positions at TRW and BDM Federal. He also served on the Defense Acquisition Board (DAB) and Major Automated Information System Review Council (MAISRC).

He earned a Doctorate of Science from the George Washington University.
