Suzanne Petrie Liscouski

Suzanne Petrie Liscouski is senior director of homeland security at Creative Computing Solutions Inc., a company she joined in November 2011.

Before joining CCSi, she served as director for international strategy and account manager for Department of Homeland Security programs at TASC from 2006 to 2011. From 2004 to 2006, she served in DHS as director for Latin America, where she held primary responsibility for managing U.S.-Mexico border issues. Prior to joining DHS, she served as the director for North American affairs in the office of the defense secretary between 2000 and 2004.

At the White House’s drug policy office, she served as Mexico director during retired Army Gen. Barry McCaffrey’s tenure as director of the office and received two White House Special Recognition Awards. Between 1996 and 1998, she instructed Air Force Academy cadets in Latin American studies and served as director for the academy’s Latin American programs. From 1994 to 1996, she was an intelligence analyst for the Department of the Army, where she primarily focused on the Western hemisphere and she received the Superior Civilian Service Medal in 1996.

In 2005, she completed her Senior Executive Service training at the Federal Executive Institute and is a Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government Senior Executive Fellow. She holds a master’s degree in foreign and defense policy from American University’s school of international service and a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from Sweet Briar College.
