Andrew Macyko, who served 30 years in the U.S. Navy, has joined Sabre Systems to assist naval customers in rapid response and irregular warfare programs as a senior executive director.
He most recently served as executive director for operations at Naval Air Systems Command and led engineering teams responsible for manned and unmanned aircraft, Sabre said Monday.
Glen Ives, Sabre’s group vice president for the mid-Atlantic region, said Macyko brings experience in military leadership and procurement to the company.
Macyko graduated from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, holds a bachelor’s degree in ocean engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and earned a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
