Hewlett-Packard will sponsor the 35th National Veterans Wheelchair Games conducted by Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Paralyzed Veterans of America said Tuesday nearly 600 veterans are competing in the 2015 games that kicked off on Monday through Friday in Dallas, Texas.

HP also sponsors the Kids Day event where children with disabilities can play adaptive sports.

“HP is proud to continue its involvement with the National Wheelchair Games for the 17th year, sponsoring Kids Day and providing technology equipment for the event this year,” said Joe Ayers, vice president of federal enterprise group at HP.

Veterans compete in air guns, archery, basketball, boccia, bowling, handcycling, a motorized wheelchair rally, nine ball, power soccer, quad rugby, slalom, softball, swimming, table tennis, track and field, trapshooting, weightlifting, and rowing exhibitions at this year’s games.
