DigitalGlobe and the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation will co-host a hackathon event that focuses on geospatial intelligence.

Tony Frazier, DigitalGlobe senior vice president of U.S. government solutions and one of the contest judges, wrote in a blog post published Wednesday that the event would take place at the company’s Herndon, Virginia-based office from June 12 to 14.

The hackathon is open to developers, data scientists and analysts, with a cap of 150 participants.

Contest rules require participants to develop open-source services within 40 hours.

Winners will receive $15,000 and free passes to attend the GEOINT Foreword and GEOINT 2015 symposium on June 22 through 25 in Washington, D.C.
