DoD said Thursday the fellows will perform basic science and engineering research work for up to five years with the goal of helping the department address technical issues.
Areas of research covered by this year’s NSSEFF program include engineering biology, neuroscience, quantum information science, nanoscience, applied mathematics, statistics and novel engineered materials.
The program also offers grantees an opportunity to participate in the defense research network and share their ideas with national security scientists and engineers.
