Abt Associates has named Glen Anderson as senior economist on adaptation and development assessments for climate-smart development practice within the company’s industrial economic growth division.
“Glen Anderson deepens our bench of leading climate economists and scientists at Abt who are working at the local, national and global levels to help assess the risks of climate change and develop evidence-based adaptation measures to respond,” Stephen Pelliccia, vice president for IEG division at Abt Associates, said Thursday.
Anderson has over 30 years of experience as an environmental and climate change economist.
He previously worked at Engility’s International Resources Group subsidiary, where he served as senior manager on climate change and chief of party on the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Climate Change Resilient Development project.
Anderson serves as a member of the research applications laboratory’s advisory panel at the Colorado-based National Center for Atmospheric Research.
The University of Washington alumnus sits on the editorial board of the Climate Services journal and holds a master’s and doctorate degree in agricultural economics from the University of Wisconsin.
