Pat Tamburrino serves as vice president of the health management division at LMI, where he oversees the organization’s work to provide medical logistics, supply chain, insurance policy and emergency response advisory services to the government sector.
Prior to his current role, Tamburrino directed the government consulting firm’s defense segment from March 2014 to February 2015.
Between 2012 and March 2014, he served as chief of staff and principal deputy at the U.S. Defense Department‘s office of the undersecretary for personnel and readiness.
He has worked with the defense secretary to address military force management, healthcare, training, and personnel, compensation and veterans assistance program issues.
Tamburrino also held the role of chief human capital officer at DoD from January 2010 to December 2012 and oversaw the implementation of the department’s first strategic workforce plan and national security personnel system.
He also spent more than 12 years in civilian leadership positions at the U.S. Navy, where he supported the Seawolf- and Virginia-class attack submarine programs.
He is a recipient of the Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Meritorious Civilian Service Award and Superior Civilian Service Award as well as the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive and Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the New York Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. degree from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
