Steven Sund, a former commander for the Washington, D.C. city police department, has been named director of business development for national security and intelligence at Noblis.
Sund will hold the title of subject matter expert for NSI-related missions such as intelligence-based emergency response plan development, event security planning, incident command and critical infrastructure protection, Noblis said Wednesday.
Pat Brosey, vice president of business development and marketing at Noblis, said Sund’s experience in the management of critical teams and development of deployment plans could help the nonprofit science and technology organization improve the platforms and services it offers to NSI clients.
Sund is a 25-year law enforcement veteran who was responsible for the operations of the explosive ordinance disposal unit, emergency response team and other critical units during his time as special operations division commander for the D.C. police department.
