Paul Stockton, Richard Danzig Named Johns Hopkins APL Senior Fellows

John Hopkins APL logoPaul Stockton and Richard Danzig, respectively former officials at the Defense Department and the U.S. Navy, have been appointed senior fellows of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.

“Their experiences leading the nation through challenging times and knowledge of emerging technical challenges will further the lab’s impact for the nation,” APL Director Ralph Semmel said Tuesday.

Stockton served as assistant secretary for homeland defense and America’s security affairs at DoD from June 2009 to January 2013 and is also a former Council of Governors executive director.

He is a current managing director of economic advisory services firm Sonecon and a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council, Analytic Services‘ board of trustees and the Idaho National Laboratory’s strategic advisory council.

Danzig previously served as secretary of the U.S. Navy under the Clinton administration and currently serves on the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board and the Defense Policy Board.

He is also a trustee at RAND Corp. and Reed College, chair of the advisory board at Idaho National Laboratory’s innovation center and a director at Saffron Hill Ventures and the Center for a New American Security.
