Executive Profile: Scott Gray, Lockheed Martin IT & Security VP

scot-gray-emScott Gray serves as vice president for the information technology and security business at Lockheed Martin, where he oversees more than 1,200 employees and a portfolio of IT services for government clients including the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, Transportation and General Services Administration, among others.

Before assuming his current role in April 2015, Gray served as program director of Lockheed’s health & life sciences business where he led a team of more than 900 IT and health professionals that supported approximately 300 projects across various health agencies.

Gray joined Lockheed in 2001 and has since fulfilled various assignments including a major deal to digitalize the company’s Social Security Administration’s operations disability case management process and supported the establishment of the administration’s internet service delivery channel.

He started his career at Ford Motor Company and held management positions for consulting, IT, and development services firms with a focus on the financial services sector.

Gray served nine years with the U.S. Army and Army Reserves under a number of airborne and special operations units.

He received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois and four other degrees in Economics, Accounting, Computer Science and Speech Communications. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
