Science Applications International Corp. has been selected as one of the companies in the 2016 Most Valuable Employer for Military list released by CivilianJobs.com.

Awardees go through a selection process that involves a survey on employer recruitment, training and retention plans that serve military service members and veterans, SAIC said Tuesday.

“Today, more than 20 percent of our workforce are veterans,” said Kimberly Admire, SAIC executive vice president and chief human resources officer.

She added that veteran hiring and support for the military are priority areas for the company, which also offers employee resource groups and mentorship programs for employed veterans.

CivilianJobs.com bestows the award to help job seekers with military experience identify potential prospects for their civilian careers, SAIC noted.

As an awardee, the company will be featured in the CivilianJobs.com website and the May issue of its Military Transition News publication.
