Jeanne O’Kelley, Senior VP of Vangent receives Women in Technology award

Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process outsourcing services, announced today that Women in Technology (WIT) has awarded Jeanne O’Kelley, Senior Vice President of Vangent’s Technology Excellence Center, the Tenth Annual Women in Technology Leadership Award.

WIT is the leading organization contributing to the success of professional women in the greater Washington, D.C. technology community. It honors leading female professionals who have exemplified superior work in the technology industry throughout the past year.

“I am thrilled to receive this prestigious award from WIT, an outstanding organization which has done so much for women,” O’Kelley said, “and am honored to join the other WIT awardees that have made impressive contributions to their organizations and communities.”

O’Kelley was awarded by WIT for her mentorship of small businesses and aspiring young women interested in the technology field. In addition to this, she was also recognized for her successful entrepreneurial and collaborative work style which led to the creation of Vangent’s Technology Excellence Center (TEC), which is a critical resource for the company in the development of people, processes and practices for enterprise modernization.

“I am fortunate to have Jeanne O’Kelley on Vangent’s Leadership Team. Her leadership, vision and passion are integral to Vangent’s success,” stated Mac Curtis, President and CEO of Vangent. “I admire her many contributions to the technology community and her willingness to mentor young women.”

Winners were thoroughly reviewed and selected by the nominations council; this includes a WIT board member, the chair of the leadership awards committee, and two former leadership awards winners and local executives who are not members of WIT.

“Women in Technology’s leadership awards recognize local trailblazers technology industry,” said Sue Liblong, president of WIT. “We received a record number of excellent nominations this year and each winner was selected based on her outstanding achievements in her organizations and the community.”
