United States Investigations Services, a former federal government entity privatized in 1996, has announced a deal to acquire Labat-Anderson, Inc., a professional services firm specializing in providing litigation services to the federal government.
Labat-Anderson and its more than 700 employees will operate as a stand-alone entity within USIS’s Government Solutions group in Falls Church, joining the investigative services and national security divisions, according to USIS officials.
“Labat-Anderson’s specialized approach to the markets it services fits the solutions approach we use with our government customers,” said Bill Mixon, president and CEO of USIS’s Government Solutions Group.
“We believe the investments we will make in this business will not only well serve Labat-Anderson’s current government customers, but will help us broaden the range of services we can deliver to our existing government customers,” he added.
Investment banking firm KippsDeSanto and Co. was the sell-side adviser on the deal. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
