Northrop Grumman Names First Chief Medical Officer

images-5Northrop Grumman promoted Dr. George Peach Taylor Jr., former vice president of Healthcare IT, as the first Chief Medical Officer at Northrop Grumman. Dr. Taylor will also assume the position of vice president of the Los Angeles-based systems integrator. Dr. Taylor will be in charge of  Northrop Grumman’s health, homeland security, biomedical sciences and human system integration business. 

Dr. Taylor was senior manager at the Washington Federal Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP until 2008 and  retired as lieutenant general and surgeon general of the U.S. Air Force in 2006. 

Taylor is certified in aerospace medicine and has 29 years of world  medical practice, supervision, staff work, command and consulting services experience.  

images-6Amy King will replace Taylor as vice president of Health IT. King will now oversee all health industry in Northrop including mission-critical enterprisewide health applications, interoperable architecture, and large-scale systems integration and engineering to leading health organizations.

King previously was director of health care systems management at Northrop. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman in 2006 King was vice president of the Public Sector Health Accounting Group at CGI-AMS.
