DLT Solutions, Inc., an industry-leading value-added reseller of information technology (IT) products and services, has announced that CEO Rick Marcotte has been selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year ® 2009 Award in the Greater Washington area.

According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate exemplary success in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their profession and their communities. Mr. Marcotte was selected as a finalist from nearly 100 nominations by an independent panel of judges. Award winners  will be announced at a special gala event on June 18 at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, and are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year national program in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, which will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 14, 2009.
Rick Marcotte had this to say, “To me, value is delivering domain expertise and IT solutions that best suit an agency’s current or desired environment.  After my tenure on the Board of DLT and then joining the company in 2004 as CEO, my vision was not only to bring value to our customers and partners, but to also grow the company to a half billion dollar scalable and professionally run business. We proudly achieved this goal one year ahead of plan in 2008, and we have been acknowledged by numerous publications and constituent groups for our successes along the way.”
Ernst & Young’s awards program is 23 years old this year. The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in over 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world.   The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, a gathering of the nation’s most prestigious high-growth, market-leading companies.
