Washington Business Journal Names Paul Mamalian of Apptis Finalist for Top General Counsel

The Washington Business Journal has named Paul Mamalian, Senior VP General Counsel and Secretary, a finalist for the Top Washington Lawyer list in the General Counsel category.  Mamalian is an active participant in Apptis’ ongoing efforts to maximize shareholder value as General Counsel. He works closely with the management team to define the most efficient and effective ways to maximize investments from a legal, tax, employee, and business perspective.

Paul Leslie, President of Apptis, said of the nomination,”Paul is a crucial member of the executive team. His passion for our business combined with his legal expertise makes him a trusted advisor to the entire company.  We are proud that Paul has been named to this elite group of lawyers who have demonstrated a strong impact on the local business community.”

Mamalian was closely involved in overall strategic planning for the division of Apptis’ IT services business and Apptis Technology Services (ATS), a Value Added Reseller (VAR), into two businesses. He counseled that such a division would ensure each entity’s operation in keeping with corporate best practices and minimize taxes. He also Base One Technologies, Ltd’s integration, an acquisition that expanded Apptis’ presence in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
