Roger Mody

Roger Mody is the former co-owner and chief marketing officer of Signal Corporation. Under Mody’s leadership, Signal achieved revenue of $300 million in 2001, with 2,200 employees working in 60 offices throughout the nation. In September 2002, Mody sold the company to General Dynamics for $227 million.

During his tenure at Signal, Mody and the company received more than 40 industry and growth awards over the years including: 1995 KPMG Peat Marwick High Technology Entrepreneur, 1997 Ernst and Young High Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, Washington Technology Fast 50, Arthur Andersen’s 1999 Best Practices Award for Exceeding Customer Expectations, Deloitte & Touche Fast 500, and Inc. 500, among others.

Mody also founded and chaired The Mody Foundation, whose aim was to provide higher-education funding for underprivileged children. Other philanthropic involvements have included: the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Easter Seals, Volunteer Emergency Families for Children, Joe Gibbs’ Youth for Tomorrow, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology Intern Program, and the Good Samaritan Foundation.
