SRA International, Inc. has raised more than $132,000 for Haiti relief efforts through its program SRA CARES. Following the Jan. 12th earthquake, SRA employees donated more than $66K to non-profit organizations as part of the SRA HOPE for Haiti campaign. Together with a $66K matching donation from SRA, Project HOPE received total donations of $89K from the company and its employees. Other organizations received the remaining $43K.

SRA CARES Executive Sponsor Steve Tolbert had this to say about SRA’s humanitarian efforts,
“A key part of SRA’s corporate culture is ‘service to the communities in which we live and work.’ SRA CARES is the corporate philanthropy program established to provide focus to the collective service and resources that SRA and its employee offer. While most of what we do is proactive, partnering with select charities throughout the year to raise funds and awareness, and to provide volunteer opportunities for our employees, we also react to events that create urgent human needs such as the Hiati earthquake. In response to this disaster and the immediate outpouring of support from SRA’s employees, the SRA CARES program conducted quick research to select Project HOPE as an efficient and well-run charity with the logistics and volunteer medical resources and supplies in place to make an immediate difference to those in need. We established a matching funds campaign and our employees responded in a big way. Our employees donated more than $66,000 in just over a week to the Haiti relief effort and SRA CARES matched the amount with a direct corporate donation to Project HOPE. All told, the SRA community donated more than $132,000 to the relief effort. We are proud of the grassroots response by our employees and the strong sense of service and responsibility to those in need that is part of our culture.”
