BAE, Northrop Present at Eurosatory 2010

BAE Systems and Northrop Grumman are just two of the many defense contractors presenting at Eurosatory 2010 in Paris this week.

BAE Systems kicked off the event by rolling out the RG41, a new 8×8 addition to the RG range, which the firm describes “as a cost-effective and highly versatile, wheeled combat vehicle suitable for multiple theaters.”

With a semi-V shaped hull, high-payload capacity, class-leading turning circle and excellent power-to-weight ratio, the RG41 meets demanding mobility and protection requirements, BAE Systems said.

Competitor Northrop Grumman was also on-site to promote its family of network-centric command and control systems and tactical data link  technology. According to the firm, presentations will show surveillance and intelligence solutions based on the core capabilities of the Integrated Tactical Command and Control system, a land, sea and air and dismounted soldier-based C4I solution, and Integrated Joint Operational Command and Control System.

With an already strong presence in Europe, Eurosatory gives Northrop Grumman an opportunity to demonstrate the many capabilities the defense contractor has to offer, said John Brooks, president of Northrop Grumman International, Inc.

“We are committed to our customer base in Europe and look forward to building on the transatlantic industry cooperation and partnerships that we have developed through the Euro Hawk and NATO AGS programs and to bringing new Northrop Grumman technologies to this important market,” he said.
