Business leaders form CyberPatriot Board of Advisers

The Air Force Association yesterday announced the formation and initial composition of the CyberPatriot board of advisers, chaired by Dr. Paul G. Kaminski.

Entering its second year as a national program, CyberPatriot is an AFA initiative to create the National High School Cyber Defense Competition. It combines online education and preliminary competition rounds delivered over the internet, proceeding to in-person finals held in conjunction with AFA National Symposia.

“I am honored to be able to lead this exceptionally talented group of individuals in supporting CyberPatriot,” Kaminski said. “I can think of no more critical imperative today than securing our nation’s cyber infrastructure, and CyberPatriot will make a huge contribution toward that goal by attracting the talented people we need to do just that.”

S. Sanford Schlitt, vice chairman of AFA’s board of directors for aerospace education offered his remarks on the CyberPatriot, saying how he is grateful to have the talent, expertise and energy of this group adding momentum to the program.

“They expand their already incredible contributions to our national security now and into the future,” he said.

The members of the CyberPatriot board of advisers announced yesterday included are: Larry D. Cox of SAIC’s Intelligence & Information Solutions; Lynn Dugle of Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems; Dr. Christopher B. Howard of Hampden-Sydney College; Lester L. Lyles of The Lyles Group; Judith A.
