CGI’s Donna Morea a ‘Woman of the Year’

CGI Group’s Donna Morea, president of U.S., Europe and Asia operations, was honored with the 2010 Woman of the Year Award from Learning for Life and the Boy Scouts of America, National Capital Area Council.

Morea received the award during the June 24, 2010 Learning for Life 6th Annual Woman of the Year Dinner, where she was recognized for her outstanding support of youth and for promoting character education, life skills and career awareness programs in the community.

“I have great hope in this next generation of leaders,” Morea said. “They have enormous potential to teach us all and it is essential that we continue to invest in their bright futures. I am thrilled to receive this honor from Learning for Life and the Boy Scouts of America, National Capital Area Council.”

As the outgoing chairperson of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, Morea is also involved with the Council’s Equal Footing Foundation, which gives community youth access to computer clubhouses and other educational tools needed to compete with a skilled and educated workforce.
