Harris to Beef Up Cyber Business in Virginia

Gen. Dale Meyerrose

Harris Corp. is planning on expanding its cybersecurity business, a move that would bring 100 high-tech jobs to Virginia and in particular the company’s Harrisonburg location, according to Virginia Business.

The expansion of Harris’ Cyber Integrated Solution business will provide customers with secure infrastructure, managed security and applications.

Harris currently employs more than 1,900 workers in Virginia, most of which are located in Lynchburg and the northern part of the commonwealth.

“Virginia’s economic incentives and business climate allow Harris to make this kind of substantial long-term investment with confidence,” said Gen. Dale Meyerrose, vice president and general manager of Harris Cyber Integrated Solutions. “This project will add jobs in the state of Virginia and add value for our customers while improving their cyber capabilities.”
