Accenture Helps Stanford Hospital Go Paperless

Accenture is teaming up with Stanford Hospital & Clinics on a seven-year health IT effort to enhance the hospital’s patient care and operational efficiency.

The initiative will advance Stanford’s patient-care platform, connecting the hospital and outpatient clinics to create an almost paperless electronic medical record.

Under the contract, Accenture will work with Stanford to improve clinical processes and deploy new capabilities, including business intelligence, health-analytic tools and patient-centered technology. Accenture will assume certain operational and administrative responsibilities for Stanford Hospital’s IT environment.

Stanford Hospital will migrate to Accenture’s virtualization offering, and manage applications and infrastructure including applicable data centers, network, help desks and device support.
