A number of government contractors have won diversity honors from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, an organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.

A total of 337 companies nationwide received the foundation’s top marks, including Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Dell, and HP.

The foundation ranked companies in its corporate index based on nondiscrimination policies, benefits provided to partners, and other workplace benefits for LGBT employees.

Booz Allen Hamilton Director of Diversity Mark McLane said:

“Diversity is integral to who we are at Booz Allen, and our inclusion on this list is further evidence of our commitment to value people from all backgrounds, across all cultures, and regardless of sexual orientation or gender. We recognize that diverse teams brainstorm the best solutions for problems, and that our people can serve our clients best when they can be authentic in the workplace.”

Sandra Evers-Manly, Northrop Grumman vice president of corporate responsibility, added:

“This award underscores our commitment to diversity. We are honored to be recognized as an enterprise that values the contributions and diversity of the individuals that compose our workforce.”
