IBM, Dell, Cisco Systems Make the Green IT Leaders List

IBM, HP and Cisco have all made it onto the list of environmentally-friendly IT leaders.

The “Summary report: Low carbon and Environmental Leadership in the ICT Industry by Gartner and WWF, 2010” study identifies the top 10 IT companies in terms of all-around greener performance.

The top all-around performers include IBMFujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco Systems, British Telecom, Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, SAP, Dell and Xerox.

The list was compiled by sending out a comprehensive survey to 28 different companies in the industry. The core questions focused on: internal environmental basics, supply chain advocacy, and how products help customers meet their own sustainability goals.
