Fair Helps Caregivers Select EMR Tools

With the many electronic medical records solutions flooding onto the market, medical professionals are sometimes left scratching their heads, struggling to decide which app applies best.

From Northrop Grumman’s repository to CSC’s CareVeillance, EMR tools are widely credited with enhancing medical treatment, streamlining the process of data delivery and analysis and reducing costs.

To assist caregivers in selecting the right EMR product, Community Health Centers Alliance and the Center for the Advancement of Health IT is hosting an electronic health records and meaningful use boot camp. The two-day event will be held in Tampa Bay March 9-10.

The boot camp will feature medical professionals experienced in the implementation of EMRs. Seminars and discussions will tackle organization structures needed for EMR, how to select the right vendor, the steps involved in implementing a system, understanding and achieving meaningful use and data security.

Sponsored in part by the Health Resources and Services Administration, the event will also feature an EMR systems vendor fair.
