Northrop Grumman premiered its National Level Repository system last week.
The technology helps healthcare providers comply with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service’s Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Records Incentive programs. The repository system streamlines the incentive payments paid out by CMS to healthcare providers who adopt EHR technology.
Northrop stated its NLR system is a safe and secure way to transmit confidential information. The system looks for fraud while it tracks and reports on EHR incentive payments to eligible professionals, eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals.
“Implementation of the National Level Repository helps support the nation’s providers in continuing to increase their use of electronic health records to improve patient care,” said Amy King, Northrop Grumman’s vice president of health information technology programs. “We are proud to continue our support of CMS as they successfully move forward to increase the adoption of health information technology across the Medicare and Medicaid programs.”
