Google and Microsoft will face off at the Commonwealth Club’s Climate One convention March 11.

Microsoft’s Chief Environmental Strategist Rob Bernard and Google’s Green Energy Czar Bill Weihl will discuss the environmental impact of cloud computing.

The discussion will center around any potential energy savings a move to cloud computing could produce. The two will also discuss their respective company’s green efforts.

The Commonwealth Club, a nonprofit public affairs forum, brings together members to discuss political, cultural, social and economic issues facing the nation. It’s dedicated to impartial discussions that lead to nonpolitical solutions.
