Contractors Flocking to Job Fairs

Job seekers with active security clearances, go dust off your resumes. Area government contractors have available positions, and they’re eager to fill them.

Federal News Radio and the Baltimore Business Journal reported this week contractor job fairs are popping up all over the metro.

Contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and SAIC are setting off the wave of job fairs. The firms plan to participate in today’s TechExpo at the BWI Marriott.

Bechtel is conducting a job fair at company offices in Frederick, Md., May 20-21, and BAE Systems is scheduled to conduct a job fair next week in Annapolis Junction.

BAE Systems alone is attempting to fill 200 jobs created in the build-up to BRAC.
