SAIC Wins Small Business Partner Award

The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum hosted its annual SECAF Awards Gala last week, honoring small and up-and-coming players in the government contracting industry.

Broken into revenue categories, InCadence Strategic Solutions won for SECAF Contractor of the Year under $6 million, Onyx Government Solutions won for SECAF Contractor of the Year $6 million to $12 million and Solutions Made Simple, Inc. won for $12 million to $25 million.

Not all winners were small contracting firms, though. Science Applications International Corporation took home the award for Small Business Partner with revenue of more than $100 million.

Michael O’Neill, director of Government-wide Acquisition Contract Programs for the U.S. General Services Administration, walked away with the Government Advocate of the Year award.

Other notable winners included Atlas Research for SECAF’s Award of Excellent and Robbins-Gioia, LLC for Small Business Partner with revenue of $25 million to $100 million.

“This is the third year we have been able to applaud the success of these notable companies in the government contracting community,” said Shiv Krishnan, chairman of SECAF and CEO of government contractor INDUS Corporation. “We expect to see growth continue from these companies. We also offer great appreciation for the friends of the emerging contractor, the industry small business partners and the advocates within government who enable our community to succeed. We are proud to offer a forum for them to be recognized.”

SECAF received close to 200 submissions for the awards. Winners were chosen from three to five finalists for each category. Last year, CACI was awarded Small Business Partner award.
