Deloitte Aerospace, Defense Senior Adviser to Lead DoD Practice

Charles F. Wald, Deloitte

Deloitte announced today retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Charles F. Wald, director of Deloitte Consulting, LLP, will lead the company’s Defense Department practice for federal government services.

Wald, a current senior adviser with Deloitte’s aerospace and defense practices since 2009, will work with clients across all military services to accomplish DoD’s goal to identify cost savings and efficiencies as well as the impact of drawing down major overseas engagements.

“The Department of Defense is facing unique challenges in the coming years,” said Robin Lineberger, chief executive officer of Deloitte Federal Government Services. “Gen. Wald brings deep insight and years of experience working with the Pentagon and defense industry to our team.”

Wald has played a critical role in the development of Deloitte’s aerospace and defense practice over the past two years, developing strong relationships with clients that have allowed Deloitte to maintain global defense and security. He holds more than 35 years of service with the U.S. armed forces, having previously served as a deputy chief of staff for air and space operations at the Pentagon and leading the coalition air campaign in Operation Enduring Freedom, which led to the extraction of Taliban forces in Afghanistan.
