Janine Nyre Named VP of Radio Frequency Combat, Info. Systems for Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has named Janine Nyre vice president of radio frequency combat and information systems for the company’s Land and Self Protection Systems Division, a position that is effective immediately.

In her new position, Nyre will oversee a team that designs and delivers high-performance, digital electronic warfare systems critical to aircraft survival in combat situations. She will also be responsible for guiding the development and implementation of new business strategies to shape and grow the RFCIS business area.

Her most recent position was serving as director of Radar Warning Receiver Programs, where she held executive responsibility for the APR-39, ALR-93 and Northrop Grumman’s contribution to the Joint Strike Fighter electronic warfare product lines.

Nyre brings 28 years of experience with Northrop Grumman to her new position, holding various positions of increasing responsibilities in the areas of engineering and program management since joining the company in 1983. She received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Claremont McKenna College and her MBA from Northwestern University, in addition to completing the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
