Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has appointed Gary Salisbury to the position of vice president of business development for the company’s Information Systems sector. Salisbury’s new role will place him in charge of identifying, assessing, shaping and capturing new business opportunities for the sector, which carries a net worth of $8.4 billion.
“Gary is a seasoned business development professional and he brings extensive knowledge of our markets and innovative capabilities to this role,” said Linda A. Mills, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Information Systems. “His focus on growth strategies and building greater customer awareness will advance our commitment to providing best-value integrated solutions.”
Salisbury brings more than 20 years of experience in the design, production and integration of information systems to his new position. Most recently, he led business development for Northrop’s Defense Systems Division and has also served vice president of command and control and intelligence, strategies and operations for the company.
Retired from the U.S. Air Force since 2003, Salisbury earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D in electrical engineering from The George Washington University. He has also attended professional development programs at multiple universities, including Syracuse University, The Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Business School.
