Bill Mixon, USIS

USIS President and CEO Bill Mixon will participate in the Symposium on Homeland Security at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va., on June 8.

Mixon will serve as panel moderator for the “Building a More Resilient America” session from 4-5:30 pm.

The symposium invites high-ranking government and industry officials to discuss the latest advancements and issues in the field of homeland security with a specific focus on integration of technologies and capabilities.

“We are delighted that Mr. Mixon will participate in the symposium as a panel moderator,” said Dr. Nathan E. Busch, associate professor of government and co-director of the Center for American Studies. “Symposium attendees will certainly benefit from his vast experience in the U.S. national security arena and valuable insight into national security issues.”

Mixon leads a team of more than 6,600 employees in USIS, the largest commercial provider of background investigations to the federal government. He also serves as director of the board of advisers of Christopher Newport University’s Center for American Studies, which aims to prepare the next generation of leaders in the fields of government, intelligence and national security.
