Professionals from across the government IT  industry will attend today the final events for the Federal Office Systems Exposition 2011 conference in Washington, D.C.  This week’s three-day conference highlighted the latest issues in the industry, new innovations and the future of the business.

As part of FOSE, several keynote speakers this week discussed topics like defense IT, government mobile computing capabilities, breakthroughs in research and issues in cybersecurity.

“FOSE was once again a huge success in fostering knowledge sharing and highlighting best practices in security solutions that will be used by government,” said Suzanne Young, FOSE show director. “We are pleased with the turnout of attendees and the positive feedback we received throughout the event thus far.”

Along with insight provided by some of the industry’s leading experts, FOSE also included an expo show floor to unveil new technology products and live demos available to government. Many different companies attended the expo to showcase new innovations and capabilities.

Among the showcased technologies were Black Box Corporation‘s new data security products, including the LockPORT security patch cables, EncrypTight, and ServSwitch Secure KVM switches with USB.

“We are thrilled to once again be a part of FOSE, a government-focused conference where we can share information with 10,000 of the brightest minds in IT,” said Brian Kutchma, vice president of sales and marketing for Black Box. “Our innovative government-grade solutions provide the very best in security for critical data.”

“We provide government IT professionals with a complete suite of tools that can be integrated together to combat the most sophisticated hacking or snooping efforts,” he added.

Other attendees of the exposition include Booz Allen Hamilton, Salesforce.com, ViON Corporation and DLT Solutions.

The highlights for today’s final day of FOSE include a keynote presentation from Martha Johnson, administrator for the General Services Administration, educational workshops from Adobe and Microsoft and theater sessions on the expo hall floor.
