QinetiQ North America has named Joseph Parsley to the position of vice president, business development of the company’s engineering and life-cycle management business unit. Parsley will be in charge of bringing new business to QinetiQ NA in addition to expanding current client/partner relationships in the Huntsville, Ala., business unit.
Parsley joins QinetiQ NA from Northrop Grumman, where he performed a number of roles over the course of his 14-year career. Specializing in various international and domestic business development and program management positions, he most recently served as the director of unmanned aircraft systems and rotary wing sensor systems, where he established the division’s capture strategies for manned and unmanned systems.
“Joe will add to the energy and effectiveness of what is already a great business development team,” said David Shrum, EVP and general manager of the engineering and life-cycle management business unit in Huntsville. “He is well-known and respected by customers and industry peers and will be an asset to our operations.”
Parsley, a retired U.S. Air Force officer, earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University, which he attended on a ROTC scholarship. He went on to receive his master’s degree from Webster University, and spent 19 years performing various operational and program management positions in the fields of space, air and sensor technologies.
