Wyle’s Rick White Joins Commission on Fed Cloud Computing

Rick White, chief technology officer for Wyle’s Information Systems Group, has been appointed to TechAmerica’s Cloud 2 Commission, the company announced Friday.

The commission, established last year by TechAmerica, focuses on how to best structure a cloud business model that supports the federal government’s business improvement objectives and supports global competitiveness.

“While cloud computing is a common topic of conversation in the federal contracting market space, there seems to still be discussion to define it and delineate it’s appropriate application in order to achieve the promised benefits,” White said.

The commission will provide the Obama administration with recommendations for how the government should deploy cloud technologies and for public policies that help drive U.S. innovation in cloud computing.
