Boeing Appoints Former U.S. Ambassador to Lead Brazil Operations

Boeing Co. has appointed former U.S. Ambassador Donna Hrinak to lead its expanding operations in Brazil.

Her appointment as president of Boeing Brazil is effective as of Oct. 14. Hrinak has served as U.S. ambassador to Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia and the Dominican Republic.

Hrinak will be based in a new office in Sao Paulo and she will report to Shep Hill, president of Boeing International and senior vice president of business development and strategy.

In addition to being responsible for the development and implementation of Boeing strategy in Brazil, Hrinak will lead company-wide activities including government affairs, identifying new and emerging business opportunities, leading corporate citizenship programs and enhancing company relationships.

After leaving the public sector, Hrinak worked at Kraft Foods as corporate affairs director for Latin America and the European Union.

She most recently served as vice president of global public policy and government affairs for PepsiCo, Inc.

“Brazil is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and represents for Boeing a large products and services market and a rich source of current and future collaborations in areas of technology, industry and finance,” said Hill.

“Our decision to base a senior executive in-country is specifically focused on expanding our presence and furthering our mutually beneficial collaboration. Donna has the right combination of business, government, regional and local experience to lead Boeing in this important market.”
