Harris Names Alex Heidt SVP of Business Development for IT Services; John Heller Comments

Harris Corporation recently named Alex Heidt senior vice president of business development. In his new role, Heidt’s responsibilities include overseeing the entire business development process. The process consists of enterprise wide strategic direction and proposal management-to-advance the company’s IT Service business.

“Alex is a growth-focused leader with deep industry experience, gained through managing large-scale operations and business development programs,” said John Heller, president of Harris IT Services. “His leadership of our fast-developing Air Force Programs business delivered strong growth and program performance-earning perfect scores on all program reviews.”

Prior to his current role at Harris, Heidt served as vice president of the firm’s Air Force Programs when he joined in December 2010. Before joining Harris, he served as vice president of Global Mission Solutions for Lockheed Martin, heading operations finance and business development.

The executive holds a bachelors of science degree in business administration from Strayer University. He also earned his juris doctor and master of arts degree in finance from Catholic University.
