Kevin Campbell Appointed Northrop’s Lead Exec in Huntsville, Ala.

Army Lieutenant General Kevin Campbell has been appointed Northrop Grumman vice president and corporate lead executive for company business in Huntsville, Ala. He will report to John Landon, vice president of missile technology and space programs.

Cambell will act as the main liaison with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, U.S. Army Materiel Command, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. He will be the company face in Hunstville working with community leaders for economic development and philanthropic activities.

“I am very pleased to welcome Kevin Campbell as our new lead executive in Huntsville,” said Landon. “His broad military leadership, especially in the areas of missile defense, space and cyber defense, will serve him well in his new position. We look forward to his contributions to our company and its shareholders, customers and employees.”

Prior to joining Northrop, Campbell led a successful 37-year career with the U.S. Army serving as the commanding general of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. He has also earned multiple U.S. military awards including the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star Medal.

Campbell earned his bachelor’s in geography from Worchester State College and also holds a Master of Education degree in personnel management and administration from the University of New Hampshire and a master’s degree in strategic studies from the Naval War College.
