Northrop Grumman’s James M. Zortman, sector vice president for life cycle logistics and support, has been named an executive fellow by the Institute for Defense and Business. Zortman was honored for his military service record and and demonstrated ability as a thought leader.
The fellows program offers recently retired senior leaders from the Defense Department, Homeland Security and military services the opportunity to contribute and serve by sharing their expertise and wisdom with future leaders.
“The Fellows interact on a small group basis with participants who carry back to their organizations the valuable leadership lessons learned and apply them as they work to innovate and improve their organizations,” said Mark C. Cramer, IDB president.
Zortman is a retired U.S. Navy vice admiral and serves as site manager of Northrop Grumman’s Unmanned Systems Development Center in San Diego, Calif. He joined the firm after a 34-year Navy career.
