Booz Allen Holds Community Summit to Benefit Returning Veteran Women

With the homecoming of troops and their reintegration into the community in mind, Booz Allen Hamilton is hosting a community summit in Fayetteville, N.C., which targets women veterans and their well-being.

“With more women serving in our Armed Forces than ever before, there is an urgent need to address the challenges these women will face as they transition to civilian life as veterans,” said Angela Messer, former U.S. Army Officer and current senior vice president of Booz Allen’s Army programs.

The firm identified that key objectives of those attending the forum include prioritizing and removing local barriers, developing collaborative action plans and creating an improvement model that is sustainable.

Some 30 leaders from local government, advocacy groups, healthcare prover organizations, non-profits, and additional participants are expected at the event hosted in collaboration with Give an Hour/Community Blueprint Network. The event is one in a series with other locations including San Diego, Calif., San Antonio, Texas, and Radcliff, Ky.
