Harris Names Brendan O’Connell President of International Tactical Comm. Business

Harris Corp. has appointed Brendan O’Connell to be president of its RF Communications division’s international tactical communications business unit.

George Helm will fill in O’Connell’s previous position as president of the division’s DoD business unit. GovConWire has more information on Helm’s appointment, here.

Dana Mehnert, the division group president, described the two executives as “outstanding leaders with exceptional track records of success across their careers.”

O’Connell previously spent five years as vice president of DoD sales for RF Communications.

Prior to that, O’Connell also served as director of government programs for the business and lead sales efforts to Europe, Central Asia, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

In addition, he was responsible for and completed expatriate assignments in the Philippines, Malaysia and the  U.K.
