ITT Names 22-Year Industry Vet as New Motion Technologies President

ITT Corp. has appointed 22-year industry veteran Luca Savi as president of the company’s motion technologies business.

In his new role, Savi will have responsibility for delivering the strategic and operating plans of the approximately 2,000-employee strong unit. Savi will report to ITT CEO and President Denise Ramos.

Savi joins ITT from Fiat Group‘s subsidiary Comau, a firm that produces and services advanced manufacturing systems in the automotive, aerospace, heavy industry and military sectors.

During his time at Comau, Savi held key leadership roles for the company in Italy, the U.S. and China. Prior to joining Comau, Savi held senior roles at Honeywell International, Royal Dutch Shell and Ferruzzi-Montedison Group.

“Luca is a strong leader who has deep experience in the manufacturing and transportation industries, a strategic mindset and a track record of achieving results,” Ramos said. “In addition, his global and entrepreneurial approach will help ITT build on its strong foundation in Motion Technologies and create additional value for customers and shareowners as we grow this business globally.”
