Northrop Grumman’s E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System logistics team has received the 2011 Performance-Based Logistics Award from the Secretary of Defense. The team is integrated with the U.S. Air Force’s C2ISR Aerospace Sustainment Directorate at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Ga.

The Joint STARS team was recognized for integrating and executing a complex, innovative and effective product support strategy, according to a Northrop release.

“Implementing measurable results is how we will continue to be recognized for best-in-class support and modernization,” said Jim Zortman, Northrop’s aerospace systems sector vice president for life-cycle logistics and support. “We are committed to working with the Department of Defense to develop proactive solutions that are in the best interest of national security and U.S. taxpayers.”
